Re: Gene Ingram Collaboration, Lacer Knife
This whole project, the Lacers, the different sheaths have been just plain fun. I am glad to have been asked to work with Gene on these and glad to have worked on something for a couple of guys who will put these to good use.
I have to say it is a slightly strange feeling handing them over at the post office though. I sort of wanted to keep them.

If only I had the cash. That is a fantastic version of your original design Randy. Plans for any more designs or will it be the 4 you've shown?

Re: Gene Ingram Collaboration, Lacer Knife
At this point the Lace pattern on the knife is probably going to remain, but since the knife was meant to be changable there are probably variations yet undiscovered. I was a bit surprised at the last two both contributing something new to the knife so I will not be surprised if any new orders do not result in additional changes.
My knife is currently on loan to a fellow in Oregon. Once it returns I may venture down the path of different lace patterns. I sort of want to try a center fill pattern, and would like to explore a sheath lace that would be a dense fill all along the welt. Endless exploration I think.

Re: Gene Ingram Collaboration, Lacer Knife
Here is another variation on the neck pouch for the Lacer. Gene added a 1950's streamlined curve to the top of the pouch. I think this is the best one yet.

This neck sheath goes with one of the recently delivered Ingram Lacer knives. Again, Gene made the pouch, I braided the thong.
BTW, that Silva Huntsman arrived today in its original 1960's box with the book....I have wanted one of these since I was a kid.

Schwert,
This is my first post here, I just have to compliment you on that rig. It is perfect, nicely done, conservative and practical. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Now I have to figure out the braid transition from round to flat to round.
