Amazing Viking knives!!!

This is something extra – at least for me.

I found a man here in Sweden, he is 26 years old and he have make knifes for about 1,5 years now. His name is Edvin.

Edvin is an archeologist and he make replicas of old Viking and dark ages knifes, you se some pictures of his knifes below.

It is not so often I get really happy when I se knifes – but in this case, this is something extra, it is very nice looking knifes, they are true replicas of very old knifes, they holds a high quality in craftsmanship – and they are very rare. I do not know any more who makes knifes and sheaths like this –and in this quality. I am amazed!

I have invited Edvin to come to this forum and tell us more about his knifes, both with the historical aspects, how he make them, and what material he use – and I really hope that he will. I also hope that you guys tell him the same thing.

Those are magnifficent recreations of viking knives!!I had only seen pictures of museum pieces and drawing in books!!Really most interesting,and very well made!!

I would certainly be interested in that...particularly seeing the historical basis of the replicas. You might suggest he has a look at www.livinghistory.co.uk too that is a forum for many British re-enactors, there are many folk who like to dress up as Vikings for the weekend.

Tremendous work! The top one with the Leif Carlsson blade (it is correct no?) is super. That makers mark is less in contrast with this type of knife too.
The sheaths are utterly cool. Fit for a king.

I hope to learn more about these.
