Db/shing Colab.
This is the one that was in the gallery discussions.
I can gt more pictures if you want.
the shaft is flammed selje and has been shaped to provide a good grip on the shaft whilst still not fatiguing the hand over long time use.
The blade is EN 42 made by out very own Shing and has a full flat grind, it is very very sharp. I believe it has been hand rubbed to 1200 grit.
The sheath is German rawhide and is wet formed to the knife, I have coloured the heath tan in an attempt to match the colour of the shaft as you can see in the second picture.
if you are interested i may be able to change the colour of it....
here are some pics

and in sheath

I would like to add that the ricasso on this blades was made purposely large, it is properly fitted. The total ricasso size was 20-25 mm IIRC. SHing do you remember.
I am asking £90 blank inclusive of post and packaging.
Any takers?
Thanks for looking guys.Dave

Re: Db/shing Colab.
I think you did the right thing posting the knife at a high price, however I also think that you should drop the price a little bit. You might just be a little bit over the top there. :o
It's always really hard to set a price to a knife concidering the time and effort we all put in to our knives. Good luck with your sales!
PS. Great looking blade!

Re: Db/shing Colab.
Price seems reasonable, just no spare cash. Is it just me or has the auction slowed down the straight sales bit of the site?

Re: Db/shing Colab.
I think so. People wait til the same thing comes up in the auctions. This one is not going there.

I think that cash is in short supply for everyone at the moment, maybe it's paying the credit card bills from the summer holidays?

Perhaps I could buy next month, but then there will be other nice things for sale

Re: Db/shing Colab.
Hi guys,
I own a Dave Barker knife and I`m very happy with it! Very well made sharp as a razor and with 1st class sheath.
This knife shown above looks like it`s worth every single penny and though I prefer fulltangs I`d not hesitate to buy it if I had the cash right now.

Guess the main problem in selling "luxery"goods is that many people haven`t that cash they had before the euro currency was established!? At least in Germany.
Anyway this knife will sell within the next few days for sure.
Greets,
Wolfgang
PS
I`m looking forward to seing your very first fuller Dave! :240:

Re: Db/shing Colab.
Still here!
Price stays the same. the knife includes a 14 day money back guarentee as long as it is a workmanship fault and the knife is not destroyed beyond belief.
this knife willno go sdown in price any more.
thanksDave
