Looks good...why your last? Please post more piccies please when you've finished. Blade etch isn't clear in your photo...

Re: My first folder and last

Its not a folder covered in holy crystals or carved from the jawbone of your favourite Koala, so don't put it on the US forums but it looks to me like a bl**dy good knife, well made and proof that I want to see more of your work, folders especially.

    :approve:

    So there.

Thank guys glad you liked it
Probably will make more but the time and work involved in making a folder rather than a fixed blade is unbelivable so will take a break from them for a while.

Heres the blade after etching will finish the pins tomorrow.

Welcome to the wonderfully fiddly and frustrating world of folders! I have to take a long break (over a year once!) after making a folder...but you can't beat the satisfaction of getting that action working just right. Good work, I guarantee it won't be your last

I like making folders, they are a challenge to get every part fitting immaculately and working together but its very satisfying and unlike a straight knife you can carry it around for a little bragging.

Re: My first folder and last

I know that folders are annoying I am about to finally finish one myself, half way through this one I was saying never again but now its working well I am planning the next one, its a bit like a bad hangover you say i'll never drink again but you always go back for more, keep at it the more difficult something is the better you feel when you manage to do it.

It's a very good folder you've made there, keep at it.

    Graham.
