    Re: Customs Deliver Seized Knife

    I feel your pain d13avo.

I'd start another thread in the Blades, Britain & the Law... forum clearly outlining what make/model the knife is, and any communication that you've had with customs.

Someone might be able to give you advice.

    Cheers, Phil

Yeah will do Phil, I'll wait a few days and see if they arrive and if been seized fight my case, but what ever happens I'll let you all know.

    Cheers once again

    Re: Customs Deliver Seized Knife

I hadn't seen this thread before but the OP's argument - ie. that the knife could not have been designed as a gravity knife because it has specific adaptations designed to aid thumb opening (eg. the thumbstud) sounds quite convincing, even in the modern climate. Has anyone tried writing a similar letter to claim back a knife seized in the last 6-12 months?

Obviously, with spydie-hole knives HMRC could argue that the hole could aid the gravity effect opening but for knives like Sebenzas it might prove convincing...?
