ok so i am using firefox with a popup blocker and not internet explorer
but i cant seem to give anyone reputation points even though i have enabled popups for www.britishblades.com/*
i can get other popup windows to work (report a message, new pm's etc)
anyone else having problems or is it just my goofy browser?

Re: reputation
Umm....been meaning to ask about that, tried doing a search but couldn't find a relevant thread, what's the reputation bit all about? when do we use it? what do we use it for? where's my coffee?

Edited because I've just noticed my reputation has gone up to 12  :oLast edited by MotorbikeMan; 01-11-04 at 11:51 PM.

Re: reputation
Jon, the idea is that if members do stuff online or off of which you approve then you can give them rep points; a post you agree with, sorting you out some nice wood, support if under fire, heat treating your first blade etc. I've only tried to do it once when my system was a bit bu**ered and it didn't work. I also am a bit wary of moderators giving rep points as I don't like the thought of folks thinking they should have to give them back.

Re: reputation
sorry for not getting back to you jon
i guess in a nutshell it is a sort of bs protection
someone with 5,000 posts and a reputation of 11 may not be as genuine as someone who has 300 posts and a reputation of 105
i think you get more green spots for more reputation
but after that i kinda get a bit lost as to what happens
hope that helps
