The new CRKT slipjoint
Be very careful when closing the new CRKT slipjoint one handed.
The blade has a half stop and it clicks into that position very quickly and strongly.
If you have your finger in the curved finger groove on the underside it can easily get chopped.
I know!

Re: The new CRKT slipjoint
No....its not that bad
, but the blade is sharp and it can chop into the finger due to the strength of the spring action.
The 90 degree stop brings the blade edge halfway along the finger cutout....so with the strong spring action it will cut into you.
Better safe than sorry

Re: The new CRKT slipjoint
Not done that one yet - but I have been pinched a few times opening it as it's very exposed where the blade notch meets the top of the backspring
So - plans to mod yours?

Re: The new CRKT slipjoint
I think Mik is a bit peeved that someone has rated this thread as less than excellent
I don't rate threads, even the sublime, don't be so sensitive Mik old son, some people have no taste and even less sense.

Re: The new CRKT slipjoint
Sorry, i lost it for a moment.
My 'Case' thread was rated terrible, but thats cool
But this thread was just a heads up about a potential injury problem about a knife.......how does that deserve a bad rating?
