    Ah, Kifaru

    As many of us know, it's infectious. May i be the first to stand up and say 'My name is Jedidiah and i'm a Kifaru addict!' Seeing as there are many 'Ah,.......' threads concerning sharp and shineys, i thought, as i'm sure there are many other 'enthusiasts', i'd start the 'K' thread. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

    We usually only see pic's when these quality items are for sale (and they've usually gone! ) so here's an opportunity to display your 'X-Ray' or 'Pointman', 'Zulu' or 'Marauder' in all it's glory!

    Be you a cordura freak, MOLLE madman or simply appreciator of quality rucks, feel free to post pic's, describe your modifications or bask in the glow, safe in the knowledge that it's entirely possible that your Grandkid's will be using it long after you've gone.
    I'm a new man! I've given up my two worst habits, smoking and masterbation, which was difficult as i was a twenty a day man and smoked like a chimney!

    Re: Ah, Kifaru

    My XRay should be here in about 10 days I hope - given the vagaries of Royal Mail & the Christmas post. Have I mentioned I've ordered an XRay before? Until then here's my E&E and Organiser (can't bring myself to spell it with a 'z');

    Docked & locked onto the RAID;

    And on the FAST pack;

    I've got the Kifaru shoulder strap for the E&E and it makes a nice little EDC bag, albeit with no real organisation.

    Pics of the XRay when it arrives.
    Cheers, Ian

    Re: Ah, Kifaru

    This thread inspired me to check - my XRay is in the country! Which means customs have got it, so it could arrive anytime in the next two months. Yet another reason to hate Christmas, everyone else's rubbish presents holding up my stuff

    I can't actually remember what I still have.

    This one is definite because it's my medium format camera bag for the hills:

    Tailgunner II, Holda a Bronica 645, few extra film backs and three lenses as well as a fair few rolls of film. Currently has a Spec Ops organiser on the front full of filter and assorted photo junk. Here with a Ranger RD9 and a Bill Yao Seiko.

    One of the ones I no longer have:

    My old Pointman that went somewhere else. Here having a wander round loch Muick.

    I keep meaning to refview the ZXR with ATL, which now - thanks to a very very nice man, should have E&E and side pouches on it soon.

    Pics tonight.

    They look a bit military for a lot of people, but there is something tank like in the build and a sense of pride in it too.

    Love mine to bits now.

    Re: Ah, Kifaru

    I must say that I'm not impressed with their postal service. My E&E went walkies in the post & had to be replaced. When the first one arrived the $45 insured post I'd paid for turned out to be $23-worth of normal, untraceable postage. I wasn't impressed with that, but Kifaru's customer service was first rate.

    Nothing else I've ordered from the States has taken as long as Kifaru stuff, although it's all been sent USPS. Perhaps the delay is getting it from Colorado to the international send-off point?

    Re: Ah, Kifaru

    Beware - Lock and Load options may make it a gravity bag!

    Got too much Kif to bear thinking about, but I use a bag all the time, and I don't really use anything else
    I'd far rather be happy than right

    It was a Seiko SKX007 with some work done by Bill Yao at MkII watches.

    Thanks Ropey. That's a very nice watch. It reminded me the MKII because of the strap that's why I asked. MKII is a watch I fancy for a long time.
