Knifemakers in Brazil / Argentina ?

I'm going to be spending the next month or two in Brazil and Argentina.

I know there are a lot of knifemakers in Argentina and hope to visit Ariel Salaverria. I haven't heard so much about Brazil.

Can anyone suggest others (in either country) who may be happy for me to visit them at work? I'm more interested in the making processes than the finished knives, although I expect I will end up spending money on something I can't really afford.

I'm a novice maker myself so it doesn't have to be professionals, pretty much anyone who is willing to give me pointers will be listened to and bought a beer or two

You can try www.brazilianbladesmiths.com but I think the website is down at the moment.

    Sorry about my english.
To Argentina try www.armasblancas.com.ar and search works of members, Penachionni, Caridi, CC, Manuel Tacus, Gugliotta father and son,Horacio Marziali, Mauricio C. Daletzky, Javier Vogt, Marcial, etc.
In Rio Grande do Sul, south of Brasil, Nova petrópolis near to Porto Alegre capital city, best of the best of South America and more Luciano Dornelles and Rodrigo Sfreddo, search in google for works.
    Saludos, Marcial.

Brazil Has some of the best knifemakers in the world .Well over a hundred years ago a large group of japanese people imigrated to brazil and they brought their samarai forging skills with them, brazil has the largest number of japanese people living there outside of japan. The brazilians/argentinians are some of the best . They learned from the best! Regards .Bubba-san
