George wostenholm & sons The I*XL trade mark

Does anyone know the original date that George wostenholm was granted the I*XL trade mark ? Most books all say it was on the 3rd October 1826, but on the Egginton bros web site who own the famous trade mark, show a scan from the book of cutlers mark which is held at the cutlers hall in Sheffield showing the date October 1831

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

OwdTom recommends that you contact Dr Joan Unwin, she only works Mondays at Cutlers Hall.
