    First Victorinox Rehandle

    Hi all,

This is my first rehandle of a Victorinox SAK and one of my first projects. I wanted a new whittler so bought a Recruit with the aim of rehandling it. The new handle is walnut.
A special thanks to Cosco for the tutorial. I followed it word for word. I'm pleased with the result.

    It went from this

    to this

I bought a bit of paracord as well so made the lanyard for it too.
I want to rehandle my Victorinox Spartan with some antler now. Will have to hunt the pieces in the garage for a piece thick enough!!
    Comments welcome.

Nice job. Have you oiled the scales?
The wooden scales give it a nice "Peasant" look.

I have given them a coat of boiled linseed oil but I took the photo before that. They are a bit darker in colour now.

Thanks for the kind words fluffy and cosco.

Funnily enough, I never thought about it like that but now you have mentioned it, it does indeed make me smile

I quite agree, I will put another 1 or 2 coats of oil on but I just couldn't wait to show everyone here one of my first projects.

Yes, the piece of yew you used on yours was particularly nice Mike. I think everyone should give it a go. I hope you'll agree that it really isn't as hard to do as it looks.

Thanks for all the comments guys. It's really appreciated.
