    Leather care stuff at Lidl

    Hi All,

Lidl is going all horsey, dont know how well it will go, I dont think that most of the Cheshire set horsey people would know what a Lidl is . But they do have some saddle care stuff.

Not sure what it is but it might be some use.

I havent lost my mind, I've got it backed up on tape somewhere!!

Its almost certainly some form of liquid glycerin with a soaping agent in it. Pretty much standard for a liquid tack treatment. The glycerin treats the leather in theory while the soaping agent helps to disolve the dirt and grease.

Probably nothing special for that price Imagine the difference between washing your hair with washing up liquid or using a premium, prescribed shampoo

Its probably a bit like that but without trying it, who can say!

According to the description in the german leaflet, it contains lanolin.
Which is basically a good thing.
It wont hurt the leather, anyway.
On a side note, they also offer minerals (compressed in a brick) for the horses to lick. These come in three different flavours. But how do you know what your horse wants?
