free files
i popped into the engineering department at uni the other day to see if they had any scrap i could make use of.
i asked nicely and got three free files. - two semi rounds and a small flat one.
cant be bad
just goes to show what you can get if you ask!

Nice!
I normally keep the semi rounds for actually filing. I have made knives out of them before but seeing as they are more effort I just keep them.
Small flat files are nice to have though, depending on size it may be worth keeping it for filing guards. Or use it for a small bird and trout.
