Cable damascus from DCL

From DCL's 2222-post competition, came a bar of cable damascus, which has finally become this:




Tapered tang:



Etched with coffee






Buffalo horn scales, black fibre and brass liners, mosaics by me

Sheath in wet-formed veg-tan, shape inspired by one of Rapidboy's masterpieces.

A present for a mate, who I have known since I was 4, my best man and all-round top bloke, who has had a pretty sh1tty year.

I would be even happier if my camera skill were up to showing this off properly....

very nice great over all shape and nice handle
i am sorry about the few weld flaws didn't look to be that deep on the bar. but they kinds look cool on the spine.
you've put it to good use hope you had fun with it mate.
and you got the pattern out great and with coffee who would have thought..
the sheath is fantastic as well.
