Old blades into a new knife

These are some old Hand Forged blades which i have, they had been put in a box and forgoten about so today at my workshop i started to make them.
I was told by the person who gave them to me they were forged by some one called Truelove

me grinding the blades,

after grinding, rough glazing i stamped my mark on the tang

For the handle i had got some old oak which my dad found at J Elliot & Sons Cutlery works, the oak was from a old handle rail which had obviously been there since the building was built 200 years ago

[/IMG]
i worked back all round the handle

the knife all assembled ready for riveting

Nice.
Can't believe you got lucky and the tang was flat!"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end" Unknown
