    Thanks for the pics, Dave. I think I remember you posting this knife and trying to find out about it. I love a mystery. Anyway, what a neat bit if fitting it is with all the nicks set just right. Whoever put that one together knew what they were doing, eh?

    These guys have been around a long time. I wonder if the Bassereau knife was made for them to retail.

    I have a Fallkniven TK4 which has a nail nick on both sides. It's rather nice as I'm left handed.

    Yeah, it's a quality bit of kit, very nice user. I'd love to find out more about it, maybe one day?

    Nice one Dave. I'd say almost certainly French based on the style of the can/bottle opener. Perhaps publicity for a wine company? Just a hypothesis.

    That's worth checking on, for sure. It was (and maybe still is) quite common for companies like Moet & Chandon to have them as promo items.
