I tend to go for the 'hammered' look as it shows these blades are hand made rather than mass produced, they just seem a little more personal as no two will be identical

Re: Scandi counselling now in session......

Thank you for the continued support from everyone. I started a thread for this knife to avoid breaking into the therapy thread.

I must confess, forgive me father for I have sinned, its been my entire life since my last confession so to cut it short, I bought a new knife today and the wife is not happy.. I told her you all made me do it... which is good for me, but not good for you lot and Im sorry ('ish) and owe you all a beer at the next therapy meeting.

Re: Scandi counselling now in session......

Don't worry about the wife; you can always find another one of those, but a good knife is really hard to find :-)

(and you thought you needed counseling :-)

Least a knife wont leave you and take the house!!

May I just add that a knife can actually drive a car!!

(PS While she is not looking, I get to sleep with my knife EVERY night!! rofl)

Re: Scandi counselling now in session......

Funny how things turn out. Just this morning I was thinking of buying another Brusletto blade when I read this thread. Why? Well rather unexpectedly I've been told I have to go back to Norway on business which gives me the ideal opportunity to get another one. Having just finished my first knife I'm now torn between buying the same blade and therefore making a similar(ish) knife or going down a different route. After finishing the first one I was thinking more of a bushcraft knife.

Back to the original point... I know I'm addicted. It happens with everything I do:
  • Car restorations
  • Stove making
  • Canoes
And now knives.

Gibbo.
