Talking PA: Stu Wilson parang-a-like II

Right, I realise the parang-a-like pass around is still ongoing, however Stu couldnt wait to finish this one and ask me to help let you guys get your grubby mits on it

Parang is aprox. 18'' total, blade is aprox 12'', blade steel is 8mm thick 01.

The PA is to have the knife for two weeks, use it, use it hard, but do NOT abuse it, then pass it on...

This means felling a tree = OK, trimming breeze blocks = NOT OK!

Usual common sense PA rules apply

That means a minimum of 200 posts and a 6 month membership period, however Stuarts decission is final as its his knife donated for the PA. There is no cost, except the user pays for Royal Mail Special Delivery to the next participant. You take responsibility for it until you can prove it reaches the next person so always use insurance. Going to limit it to UK only and 10 slots.

One final thing, I am going to insist that all people taking part do a review of sorts. Even if its a para on how it felt in the hand and the edge held up that is OK, but I hope people can understand the importance to the maker of feedback when offering these free opportunities

So the sign up list is below, with a few names to start it off ;

1 - Paul Hardwick
2 - (Diamond Dave)
3 - rcs
4 - Darsoth
5 - Catsnake
6 - Luresalive
7 - FGYT - been given a pass by Mr_Yarrow
8 - Zorro
9 - Bardster
10-Rob66

Re: PA: Stu Wilson parang-a-like II

Hi All, just like to say thanks yet again for Mr Yarrow for starting another PA for me, and thanks in advance to all who take part

Just a couple of things, apologies for the blade finish, i need to sort out the right equipment to do the final finishing of my big blades, i was hopeing to get it Bead-blasted by a friend before i sent it (to hide the scratches ), but unfortunatly he decided to have a holiday

also, i was a bit anoyed with the G-10, didnt notice till i shaped it that it has a double layer of orange, hence the thicker line at one point, even if i had of noticed i would still have used it, but i would have made sure it was atleast in the same place on both sides, least i no about it now

Thanks again, and enjoy!

Stu
