The micarta woodlores are already going for £250 on ebay so who know how much if it looked like the one above ;)

A knife that looks like that, is a knife I would like in my collection. I wouldn't be able to eBay for it though! Guess I will have to return to the bench and make somethign similar!

Very nice article. The Old Hickory knives are generally good ones but quality control is spotty. They need a lot of sharpening initially, but with frequent touch ups on a steel, work very well. They excell at slicing. The Nessmuk is a great design, but I actually prefer the scimitar, as you tagged it, as it gives a better point for boring a hole, or cutting a slot in wood. You can grab that point between your thumb and forefinger and do all sorts of fine work.
